Baby Ballerinas (45 mins)
A creative program that provides a magical experience for your little ones. Using a variety of classical music, nursery rhymes and familiar songs children are taught to twirl, point and run on tippy toes in a fun and imaginative environment.
Ballet (60 mins)
The most technical and disciplined form of dance. Students will notice a dramatic improvement in posture, alignment and strength as well as an introduction to the softer side of movement. These classes put an emphasis on enjoyment and greatly encourages students confidence. RAD syllabus.
Tap (60 mins)
Tapping along to the latest tunes. This class provides a step by step guide to the essential steps, sounds and moves of tap.
Grade based on the ISTD syllabus and skill level as opposed to age groups.
Jazz (60 mins)
Freestyle Jazz is a very popular style which focusses on exploring different dance styles taking cues from hip hop, street jazz, funk and lyrical. Using the latest hits to make this a fun and enjoyable style for all ages.
Pointe Work (30 mins)
Pointe technique is the part of classical ballet that concerns pointe work, in which a ballet dancer supports all body weight on the tips of fully extended feet within pointe shoes.
JSA Dance is held in the Dance Room at Finns Recreation Club – East, entry is through the club’s lobby.
Love to Dance Academy run by Miss Claire. With over ten years experience teaching in the Sports & Recreational Clubs and International Schools throughout Hong Kong and Indonesia.
Miss Claire is an A.I.S.T.D qualified Dance Teacher, who also holds a Diploma in Dance from the Urdang Academy of Ballet of Performing Arts, Covent Garden. Prior to teaching she had an extensive and successful professional dancing career, spanning over 15 years and 10 countries. Combining a strong passion for dance with a love of children, she believes in creating a fun and safe environment for students of all abilities.
